Draco Wins
NBJ Business Achievement Bronze Award
Recognizing 35% Growth in Revenues in Fiscal 2004
(May, 2005) Draco is the proud recipient of a Nutrition Business Journal Business Achievement award for performance in the year 2004. We have received the Bronze Business Achievement Award in the category of Growth in Mid-Size Suppliers for our expansion into the cosmetics industry. Draco's expansion into the cosmetics industry in 2004 boosted company revenues by 35% within the first 7 months of the year, a growth rate significant enough to garner the attention of Nutrition Business Journal.
Our new cosmetic division manufactures bioactive botanical ingredients for cosmetics and personal care applications and features our new Vital Treasures line. Vital Treasures ingredients are designed for both internal (inside) supplement uses and topical (outside) applications and include a wide range of herbal extract ingredients that have specific benefits for the skin. Also contributing to our growth was organic certification to both NOP and IFOAM standards. Our wholly owned ISO9000 and Kosher certified 120,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China is the first in China to be certified organic.
The Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ) Business Achievement Awards recognize companies for their distinguished achievements in various natural products categories including: growth in large, mid-size and small companies; efforts on behalf of the industry; stock performance; environment and sustainability; personal service; and product merit. NBJ is a monthly business newsletter that has been published since 1996 and is now part of New Hope Natural Media. NBJ serves the nutrition industry as a marketing research, publishing, and consulting company analyzing the nutrition, natural products and alternative health care industries. An awards ceremony will be held in July, 2005 at the NBJ Newport Summit in Dana Point, California.
