Business Operations Specialist
Review, organize, and analyze food/nutrition ingredient manufacturing and wholesale business operations, and product specifications, including product chemical ingredients specifications and requirements, COA (Certificate of Analysis), MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) technical data sheets, quality control requirements, and test results/documentation. Plan business flow, develop SOP (Standard Operation Procedures) for cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) implementation, and implement HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and other internal quality control procedures.
Work directly with customers, R&D department, and QC department for product development. This position will also involve in protocol/MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)/CoA(Certificate of Analysis)/Patent/Safety/Toxicity research.
Assist customers in resolving technical problems and in choosing the appropriate product(s).
Assist in inter-departmental collaboration and guidance to ensure technical evaluations are performed in a timely manner.
Assist with scientific literature and maintaining organized records of relevant publications.
Use computer and database management tools to organize operational and technical data and to fulfill customer and management's requests for logistics and technical information.
Require: Master's degree in Business Administration with background in production & operations management, applied software practice including data processing, record management, and food/nutrition ingredient chemical analysis (such as chemistry, biochemistry, and food microbiology).
Inside Sales Representative
We are looking for self-motivated people with energy and excellent listening skills. This candidate must have the flexibility to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants for this sales position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computer software is required, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and sales databases.
This is a full-time, in-house sales position located at our San Jose, CA headquarters. 1-2 years experience in food, nutritional, or fine chemical industry is highly preferred. . This position is immediately available.
Some of the duties will include:
Handling daily customer calls and requests for various information and samples.
Maintaining existing sales through contact with existing customers.
Increasing sales through regular customer contact and outreach to new accounts.
Assisting outside salespersons on specific accounts.
Attendance at various tradeshows throughout the year.
Some travel to specific accounts for product presentations and project development.
Assisting with various projects including tradeshows, promotional items and marketing materials.
The person chosen for this position will be rigorously trained in all aspects of the company and products, and expected to effectively present this information to customers.
